Ivory: He has such great command of his band. They are top notch.
Paisley Sparks: They are magnificent. I love the fact that Pino Palladino looks like your uncle the accountant, but is actually one of the funkiest men on earth!
Ivory: HAHAHAHA I never thought of it that way but true. He looks so unassuming but works the hell out of a bass!
Paisley Sparks: But it's impossible to stop there. They were all awesome. To see Jesse Johnson, as a massive Prince fan, was something else, too. He was so unassuming.
Ivory: That's true. D’Angelo had a lot of people who were stars in their own right playing for him in The Vanguard. I couldn't keep my eyes off of Kendra Foster. I'm sure it isn't easy being the only female on stage, but she more than held her own, and her energy was crazy.
Paisley Sparks: I even loved her interpretive dance at the beginning of “Really Love” -- and that's saying something!
Ivory: LMAO I definitely feel you. I guess someone else in the audience really enjoyed the show, too, because when they launched into "Ain't That Easy," someone lit up some weed.
