Valentine's Day is this coming weekend and Tank is getting in the mood with a new EP. Titled If You Were Mine, the gift-giving got started early as a preview of the title track has made its way to the Internet.
On the new song, Tank is backed by a minimalistic melody laid out by a piano, whose keys shape the romantic ballad. And it's completed by this beautiful music that Tank delivers his heartfelt message filled with promises for his lady and the life she'll have with him if she accepts his crooning (but not begging) invitation to be his girl.
Tank's tender touch on the tune tones down the acoustics heard on recent releases such as "You're My Star." In no way does that remove any of the passion he puts into this project. Eager to hear more? The If You Were Mine EP will be given away for free by Tank on February 10th.
