SB: Gotcha, so tell us more about the content on The M.A.F.E. Project, where do you draw your inspiration?
BJ: The content is straight R&B music, if anyone’s hip to Pineapple Now-Laters then you’ll kinda see what lead to The M.A.F.E. Project. I’m not a gospel artist, yes I love God, he’s a part of my life, but it wouldn’t show in The M.A.F.E. Project at all. But at the end of the day I just stand for dope, good quality music and that’s what’s in The M.A.F.E. Project.
SB: And how have you evolved from your first mixtape until now?
BJ: Umm, I would love to hear that from you guys, how do you guys feel? Do you see the evolution coming along?
SB: Definitely, I mean I love all of your music so I’m probably a little biased. [laughs]
BJ: What was the first thing you heard from me?
SB: I heard a little Pineapple Now-Laters so that’s where—

SB: I love your lyrics, I feel like you’re very genuine in everything that you sing and your voice definitely stands apart.
- Advertisement -BJ: Oh okay. Well you know Pineapple was the last thing I released before the last project, The M.A.F.E. Project, so there are three or four other things you can tap into as well if you want to dig a little deeper on BJ. Because that’s probably the most recent release before The M.A.F.E. Project, I’m not saying new but it’s still a few years ago quality wise. But you have A Taste of Chicago, you have The Life of Love's Cupid, you have The New Beginning, I put out a free Christmas project last year. There’s so much that people don’t know about so that’s why I began to ask you because you said it doesn’t sound like gospel, I’m like I’m not a church artist. So I wanted to find out more about you so you can find out more about me.
