Alabama Shakes' new album, Sound & Color, isn't due to be released until April 21st, but they're getting their pre-release promo in with lots of screen time on TV with live performances of their new music. Last night saw the Athens, Alabama group take over David Letterman's stage with a rip-roaring performance of the single "Don't Wanna Fight."
If you saw Alabama Shakes when they were recently the musical guests on Saturday Night Live, then their showing on the Late Show with David Letterman will seem familiar. Yet and still, whether this is your first or 50th time watching them perform this song, you are still in for an aural and visual treat. Leading the charge was lead singer and guitar slanger Brittany Howard who gave it her all as usual with her blend of gut-bucket soul, blues and rock in one fell swoop. The band and background singers all fell into place like puzzle pieces to create yet another highly enjoyable live rendition of "Don't Wanna Fight."
Don't fight the feeling, and watch Howard and company in action on Letterman and pre-order Sound & Color on iTunes now.
