Remember the Madd Rapper skits from the early Bad Boy albums? Turns out the dude had a whole album back in the year 2000. If you didn’t know, the Madd Rapper was actually Deric “D-Dot” Angelettie, the Bad Boy hit man behind a number of hits in the late '90s, and Kanye’s mentor. 'Ye co-produced a number of tracks on the album, which, while well reviewed, failed to do well commercially due to a number of reasons.

During his time with D-Dot, 'Ye also worked with a number of rappers and singers, including Foxy Brown, Nas, Goodie Mob and more, supplying beats and honing his craft. However, Kanye’s time with D-Dot is most remembered for Ye’s slip of the tongue, in which he said that he was ghost producing for D-Dot. While 'Ye later apologized for his comment, they still have a strained relationship, with the ghost production comment defining much of D-Dot’s legacy.
