Singer Emmavie is her own one-stop shop. Not only does she write and produce her own material, but she even serves as her own sound engineer. She more than proves her point on her new single, "Love Drunk." The upbeat song is reminiscent of the type of bouncy R&B that reigned supreme during the '90s as we find her waxing poetic about a love itch she just can't seem to scratch. Towards the end of the song, she switches things up, completely transforming the tempo into a slow, grind of a tune that's left us wanting for more.
"Love Drunk" follows her sultry jam "I Hope We Never Break Up," which we world premiered in January, and is also taken from Emmavie's upcoming Honeymoon EP. The Brit has been making noise on the indie scene in her native London for some time now, and we're more than ready for her to receive her big break. If the rest of Honeymoon has the same throwback R&B sounds found on "Love Drunk" and "I Hope We Never Break Up," then we suspect that this talented artist should have no worries getting to the next level.
