Lauryn Hill & Crew Delight Her Fans With 'Doo Wop (That Thing)' Performance

Lauryn-Hill-Nigeria

It looks like Lauryn Hill wasn't late for a performance this time because she didn't even make it. Due to some traveling issues this weekend, Lauryn and her bevy of background singers missed their headlining performance at Nigeria's Mayday Live Concert on May 1st. To avoid disappointment and any misunderstandings, the songstress decided to make it up to fans with a video of an acoustic performance of "Doo Wop (That Thing)," which she posted on her Facebook page for the rest of us to enjoy. In the video, Ms. Hill plays the guitar and sings her 1998 classic with the help of her background singers, which also includes her ridiculously cute and animated 7-year-old daughter Sarah Marley. Reviving the classic hit, the group adds funky ad libs and new harmonies that will have you singing right along with them.

Lauryn also released a statement about the travel mishap on her official website, which included a photo of the entire Lauryn Hill team at the airport. You can watch Lauryn and her clique sing their hearts out during their performance of "Doo Wop (That Thing)" right here. With a performance like this do you think that the Lauryn Hill we all know and love is back to her old self?
