With Jill Scott on her summer tour and readying her new album, Woman, excitement is at an all-time high for fans of the soul songstress. She's already given us a sampling of what kind of emotional ride we'll be up for with her singles "You Don't Know" and "Fool's Gold," and she's giving us one more song to groove to before the album's release with funky post-breakup track "Closure."

With a southern fried backing track, jumpin' with percolating percussion, bass and a horn section that doesn't wanna quit, Jilly From Philly breaks down the rules of the game after a temporary rekindling. Her old flame might think that a night in her bed means things are back to normal, but she lets him know that while things might've been good last night, it's back to normal in the morning. That means no world class breakfast, no touchy-feely reminiscing and, matter of fact, he can find his way out through the back door. Oops.

It's obvious from the tracks we've heard thus far that Jill is stepping out much more confident and self-assured this year, and we can't wait to hear what else she's putting down. Lucky for us, Woman's July 24th release date is fast approaching. While we wait, go ahead and spin "Closure" a few times.
