Summer still has some fun up her sleeve, and SoulBounce's favorite married soul singers Kindred the Family Soul will be serving up lots of it on Sunday, August 9th at their annual Kindred the Family Reunion in Philadelphia. The inaugural event in 2014 allowed the famed duo of Fatin and Aja Dantzler to give back and show appreciation and love for their community. Now, self-proclaimed Philly’s First Family are at it again bringing another family gathering to the community along with some of their celebrity friends.

Event highlights include a Kindred and Friends Jam Session, celebrity softball game, soul karaoke, artist meet-and-greet, jerk chicken cook-off and a host of other activities. Amongst the celebrity guests will be fellow indie soul stars Eric Roberson, Teedra Moses, Dwele and Algebra Blessett; CNN’s Marc Lamont Hill, NFL Super Bowl champ Barrett Brooks and more will be on hand for the festivities. The event will also feature a special appearance by baseball phenom and ESPY winner Mo’ne Davis.

This year's Kindred the Family Reunion will be open to families, youth and community members in and around the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area, and it all happens at the Kingsessing Recreation Center located at 4901 Kingsessing Avenue from 12 noon - 6 p.m. That's just enough time to come out and support this day that celebrates family, have a fun time, hang with cool celebs, listen to great music and eat some good food. The price of admission for this afternoon of awesome? FREE! If you're in Philly this Sunday and looking for something no-cost to keep the entire family entertained, then you've found it.
