Atlanta-bred soul group The Dangerfeel Newbies are giving us a few extra rays of sun now that it's officially fall with their latest single "Love From the Sun." With jazz songstress Kathleen Bertrand providing the warm vocals, the song is the group's take on the Roy Ayers classic "Everybody Loves The Sunshine." Bertrand used to perform with Ayers back in the '70s and '80s, so it was only right to include her on the track. The Dangerfeel Newbies members Jamal Ahmad, Mark Angel and Darren "DJ" Wagner provide a soulful and jazzy bed of instrumentals for Kathleen to play with as she sings, "We got our love from the sun," over the chorus. With infectious snaps and enthusiastic horns in the background by The PR Experience, "Love From the Sun" is a mid-tempo, easy listen.

Mixed and mastered by London DJ, producer and engineer, Daz-I-Que, "Love From the Sun" serves as the first single from the trio's upcoming EP Southern Suns/Sons, which is a thoughtful tribute to -- you guessed it -- the sun. If you need some more Vitamin D in your life, you can download the single over on SoundCloud while we wait for the group's project to drop later this fall. Listen to "Love From the Sun" right here, and let it warm you up.
