Having spent the past few years building a fanbase both at home and overseas, rising UK talent Hayley Cassidy is just shy of breakthrough success. But the talented Londoner has made a point not to rush the process, preferring instead to learn more about the music industry and even completing a degree in business management in between albums. She got her feet wet with an independently released EP (Real Talk) back in 2009. After taking a break, she returned with her full-length debut Stripped in 2013, showcasing a matured sound and growth as a songwriter. Catching the attention of American audiences, three of the album's videos enjoyed rotation on BET's now defunct TV show 106 & Park.

Though the Bow Wow and Keshia Chanté-hosted show is no longer on our screens, Ms. Cassidy has no intention of following suit. Instead, she recently unveiled the visuals for her SOS Music Group-produced track "Best in Me," which she released at the close of 2014. The mid-tempo number, a sunny R&B groove with a subtle hip hop thump, is a tribute the power of love and friendship. Directed by Dvisionaiir, the video casts the songstress in an introspective light, following her as she connects with Mother Earth. While she meditates and frolics through forest and field, her warm, breezy vocals and natural beauty shine through.

The overwhelmingly positive reception of Stripped opened the door for her to become the opening act for Ameriie's UK tour earlier this year, and also led to supporting gigs with former X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke, Miguel and Eric Roberson. Hoping to capitalize on this momentum, Ms. Cassidy is back in the studio working on a new project. In the meantime, watch her latest video below, visit her website for current news and head to Bandcamp where you can download both "Best In Me" and Stripped for the incredible price of $free.99.
