Judith Hill's debut Back In Time was one of the best musical gifts that we've received this year. And now, as the year comes to a close, she drops off another present in the form of a video for Back In Time's bluesy, soul-soaked number "Cry, Cry, Cry."
Rather than give us an emotional story for the clip, Judith opts to give us an emotional performance instead. Joined by a full band, the soul singer and NPG Records signee sits at her keyboard and belts the tune for all to hear. And she does it all while looking fabulous (and with a feathered crown atop her curly hair). Aiding in how beautiful she looks is the clip's aesthetic. It's shot in a gorgeous, crisp black and white, which gives everything the feel of a performance from back in the day. And then the song picks up and Judith steps away from the keys, revealing a gorgeous silk robe as she has a little fun with her bearded guitarist. It's all so enthralling to watch, you might just get a little sad as the camera pans away at video's end.
If you haven't purchased it already, give yourself a present and get a copy of Back In Time before the year is out. And as an added treat, you can take a peek at the visuals right here.
