With Christmas just a week away, two Berklee College alums decided to get together and try their hand at Donny Hathaway's 1970 classic "This Christmas." One of them just so happens to be Donny's daughter (and Lalah Hathaway's little sis) Kenya Hathaway, so you know it's worth a listen. The artist, background vocalist and American Idol vocal coach teamed up with mixer and arranger Lenny Wee to do a cheery, a cappella version of the Kringle-inspired single to get us prepped ahead of the holidays. The a cappella arrangement by Lenny is accompanied by a fun video featuring multiple versions of Kenya and Lenny decked in cozy hats and scarves and singing in front of Christmas lights.

With harmonies abound and smooth vocals to boot, if this doesn't get you in the mood for Christmas, we're not sure what will at this point. Originally recorded by Donny and released in 1970, the single is truly the gift that keeps on giving every year. Watch Kenya and Lenny's version of "This Christmas" right here and let us know in the comments if it gets you in the Christmas mood or if you're still two-stepping in the corner with the Grinch.
