Drake Gets His 'Hotline Bling' Restricted In New T-Mobile Super Bowl Commercial

The Super Bowl is this weekend, and it's about time the commercials started rolling in. Of course, we couldn't have music-inspired ads without one of the most played and remixed tracks of 2015 getting some love. Drake, who most recently collaborated with Rihanna on "Work," joined forces with T-Mobile for a fun 30-second stint featuring his thick grey sweater and epic, meme-inspiring dance moves from "Hotline Bling." Dancing in the signature box from his original video, only a few seconds into singing, Drake gets interrupted by telecom execs who ask him to change his lyrics — a lot. The cheesing rapper agrees, exclaiming that he loves changes but somehow we doubt "You used to call me on my cell phone...device eligible for upgrade after 24 months" will work. While it doesn't quite have the same ring as "Hotline Bling," we're pretty sure Drake can make it hot like he does everything else.

The tagline for the ad — "Other wireless carriers ruin everything" — is just another "Un-carrier" move from T-Mobile's Music Freedom initiative, which lets users stream unlimited music from the likes of Apple Music, Pandora, iHeartRadio, Rhapsody and more without burning through their data. We're here for this "Un-carrier" behavior from T-Mobile as long as they don't try to change Drake's lyrics again. Watch the comical T-Mobile commercial with Drizzy right here and prepare to get yourself carried away with chuckles.
