Anthony Hamilton has been teasing and taunting us for the past year with creative harmonies and gospel remakes of trap hits with his background singers The Hamiltones. Now Hamilton and company are ready to give us more of what we love with his new album, What I’m Feelin. We’ve long been anticipating a new project from the soul singer since his 2011 album Back to Love, not including his terrific Christmas album, 2014's Home For the Holidays, and its arrival is almost here. But thanks to NPR, we don't have to wait until its March 25th due date to listen with their First Listen of the highly-anticipated album.

On What I'm Feelin', Hamilton gives us much of the same music we've come to love and enjoy from him. However, as an artist, he still stretches his wings a bit with some experimentation, such as the more contemporary R&B of the first single, “Amen,” along with the throwback doo-wop title track, “What I’m Feelin’,” where The Hamiltones show up, show out and leave you wanting more. Unfortunately, this album does not include any songs named after a church mother, such as “Charlene,” “Lucille”  or “Sista Big Bones,” but that’s a small complaint when you have such a wonderfully crafted album as this. Take a listen to What I'm Feelin' below, and visit Amazon or iTunes to purchase this soul-stirring, baby-making, heartbreaking album today.
