Finally, what can we say about Mr. Anderson .Paak that we haven’t already said? Well, a lot, as he’s dedicated to consistently surprising us with his unmatched energy and artistry. In addition to singing “Come Down” from his recent album, the engrossing Malibu, the artist also jumped behind the drums to give the captive audience just a taste of what this singer/rapper/multi-instrumentalist is capable of at his live shows.

While the BET Music Matters showcase has been a mixed bag in past years, with some of our favorites doing too much and not enough at the same damn time, this year, the ones to watch owned the BET Music stage and proved they deserved their rightful place among the stars everyone came out to honor.
