One of last night's big winners was R&B newbie Bryson Tiller. The 23-year-old Louisville, Kentucky native took home the Best New Artist and Best Male R&B/Pop Artist trophies at the BET Awards 2016. The T R A P S O U L  singer, who is having one of the best year's ever, also had a coming out party of sorts, gracing the stage with a performance of his newest single, "Exchange," and his biggest hit to date, "Don't."

With the stage covered in billowing smoke and randomly placed flames, he kicked the set off with "Exchange." The "Swing My Way"-sampling track had the crowd hype as the the young singer paced the stage decked out in a baseball cap and a long gray cardigan. After a little over a minute of the song, though, he switched things up and the familiar strains of "Don't" filled the theater. As the crowd milly rocked and sang along, Bryson commanded the stage (which for some inexplicable reason had an ambulance with flashing lights on it) with the confidence of a seasoned pro. While Bryson's brand of "trap soul" might not appeal to everyone, it's quite obvious from this performance that he has the ear of the new generation.
