Is it just us or are the music festivals this year completely off the chain? Just when we were recovering from the likes of the Art of Cool Fest, the ATL Soul Life Music Fest and the Roots Picnic (not to mention a few others) and started setting our sights on upcoming festivals like this year's edition of AFROPUNK, we get the lineup for Atlanta's ONE Musicfest. Let's just say that this one right here is a doozy.
Not only is it the fourth annual iteration of a festival that's become an Atlanta staple, but it boasts one of the best lineups we've seen so far this year. Scheduled to rock the stage this year are a few people you might recognize: Erykah Badu, Ice Cube, Gary Clark Jr., Busta Rhymes, Jazmine Sullivan, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Andra Day, A$AP Ferg and BJ the Chicago Kid. That list alone is reason enough for anyone to consider making the trek to the A for the event...but wait, there's more! In addition to those acts, the festival will also see a Dungeon Family and Organized Noize reunion. That means that Big Boi, CeeLo Green, Sleepy Brown, Big Gipp and the rest of the DF and Organized Noize crew will be rocking the same stage and bringing some friends with them. Excuse us while we start making travel plans now.
Tickets for the ONE Musicfest, which takes place September 10th at Atlanta's Lakewood Amphitheater, are available to purchase now via the festival's site and Live Nation. For info about what's going down, you can also follow the festival's social channels on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Hope to see you there!
