Music festival season is already in full swing, and it isn't even summer yet! As we gear up for the next music festival, fine-tune our live event calendar and juggle day-to-day duties, we need some downtime.

When things get a little crazy around SoulBounce HQ and it's time to relax, relate and release, a quick getaway is very necessary. So when DriveShop offered us the keys to a 2016 Mazda6 to test drive for a few days, that was our cue to take a day trip. We loaded up the sleek and sporty, Snowflake White, V6-powered beauty, opened the sunroof, pulled up an old-school playlist and headed to Maryland’s Eastern Shore for the day. Traffic was a bit dramatic, but the steering and overall handling made navigating the Bay Bridge backup a cinch. Once we arrived on the Eastern Shore, we meandered around the town of St. Michaels and took in a few sights. The last stop on our mini-tour was Lowes Wharf Bayside Grill & Tiki Bar for the best crab dip ever. The perfect end to our impromptu excursion was staying there and watching the glorious sunset on the Chesapeake Bay.

As darkness settled in, we hopped back in the 2016 Mazda6, settled into the creamy leather seats, cranked up the Bose speakers and begrudgingly made our way back home. This moment of respite was just what we needed to recharge our batteries. If you need to press pause, take a quick road trip to somewhere new for a little self-care.
