There is a short list of artists who can do no wrong and consistently do right, and the band Incognito is in that number. Led by Jean-Paul "Bluey" Maunick, the acid jazz-funk-soul outfit is on the verge of releasing their new album, In Search of Better Days, on Friday, June 24th, and SoulBounce is delighted to world premiere the stellar collection right here with an exclusive album stream courtesy of Shanachie Entertainment.

In Search of Better Days marks the 17th studio album by the beloved international gang of musicians and vocalists.  This year also marks the group's 37th birthday, but the celebrations don't end there. The band's favorite leading lady, Maysa, commemorates 25 years of singing with Incognito as she also rings in her 50th birthday. Maysa steps into the spotlight on four of the album's 14 tracks -- lead single "All I Ever Wanted," "Everyday Grind," "Racing Through the Bends" and "Selfishly" -- her voice as stunning as ever on productions that fit her like Cinderella's glass slipper.

In addition to Maysa, Incognito stalwarts Tony Momrelle, Vanessa Haynes and Katie Leone are featured throughout the project. The "voice of Incognito," Momrelle soothes our soul on "Love's Revival" while Haynes soars on three compositions ("Just Say Nothing," "Love Be the Messenger" and "Move It Up") and Leone shows out on "Crystal Walls." Additional vocal features from Imaani on "Love Born In Flames" and Vula Malinga with "Better Days" bookend In Search of Better Days to begin and end this party right.

Bluey is not only Incognito's creator and bandleader, but he also co-wrote every song on the album and sings on the uplifting track "I See the Light" atop a guest appearance from Avery*Sunshine on grand piano. Instrumental tracks featuring musicians Stuart Zender and Tomoyasu Hotei round out this satisfying listening experience.

Incognito is showing no signs of wear on In Search of Better Days and sound as fresh, funky and fiery as ever. Listen to In Search of Better Days in full right here, and be sure to buy the album from Amazon, iTunes, Google Play or your retailer of choice in an effort to upgrade your music collection.
