It may have been hot and sweaty on Sunday, June 29th at the 2nd Annual ATL Soul Life Music Festival, but the day's second performer, Goapele, remained cucumber cool for the duration of her mini-concert. From the chill vibe of her songs to her summer-chic outfit, she was ready and so were her fans. She charmed the audience early with a more recent song, "Powerful" from her two-year-old album Strong As Glass, then had folks reminiscing about their "First Love" (Change It All, 2005).
It was easy to love Goapele's performance when she kicked things up a several notches on Break of Dawn hits "Play" and "Milk & Honey" before breaking into everyone's jam "Closer." And she didn't stop there! Normally she would end her set on her endearing debut single, but she gave people a couple more songs that had folks wishing she would have given them a couple more.
