Omar Shows Us How He Rocks A Studio Session In 'I Want It To Be'

Omar-I-Want-It-To-Be-Still

This summer has been laced with musical goodness and just around the corner is sure to be another gem. Omar's brand new EP I Want It To Be will arrive this Friday, much to the delight of soul music lovers everywhere. The four-song set, which will be an appetizer for his next album Love In Beats that is set to arrive later this year, already has us (and judging by the response, you guys, too) ready to throw our money in the soulful Brit's direction. But before Omar delivers his musical gift, he shares a new video for the set's title track.

The clip for "I Want It To Be" is perfect for those who've never gotten to see Omar in his element. Decked out in a fly lion t-shirt (which we would love to add to our collection) and rust-colored pants, he sets up an impromptu performance in a studio for the track, complete with an eight-piece band, and gives the people what they want with a straightforward performance of the song. As the enchanting groove gets underway, Omar gets into his rhythm, dipping and gliding as the musicians play. Though he makes sure to stay behind the mic, he makes use of all the space he can, delivering a rather energetic performance and eliciting smiles and laughs from the band and us as well.

You can get into the visual for "I Want It To Be" right here and then be sure to pre-order I Want It To Be on iTunes so that it will be waiting on you first thing Friday morning.
