On day two of the 2016 Summer Spirit Festival, The Chuck Brown Band brought more of the go-go flavor that the DMV savors. Not to be outdone by fellow DMV outfit Be'la Dona who turned it out with their set on Saturday, the band that backed the Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown while he was alive and kicking kept his legacy intact during their rousing show. Between melodic vocals from Frank Sirius, rap verses from Brown's daughter K.K. Brown and that world-famous horn section, the band had Summer Spirit Festival attendees on their feet as they paid tribute to the dearly departed legend on songs such as "Wind Me Up Chuck," "Chuck Baby" and "Bustin' Loose."
