We've been in love with Jessica Childress since her star-making turn on music competition show The Voice, so we're more than happy to see the singer/songwriting stepping out into her own. In 2014, she released her Don't Forget My Name EP and  showcased her unique blend of her classic soul and rock influences. She's now gearing up to release her full-length debut early next year, dropping off the set's first single "Far Away" to great acclaim, and SoulBounce is happy to exclusively premiere the song's video.

The clip is all about getting rid of the constraints of the world holding us back from enjoying life. She illustrates this by showing a raven-haired beauty who's yearning for a bit of freedom. We see her making her way through a city  to find her own quiet moments and spaces. She discovers peace in some obvious places, such as the beach and a quiet park, but she also finds it in a few unexpected locales, like a skate park, city streets and an apartment complex's swimming pool. Meanwhile, Jessica appears in the clip between scenes while bathed in a beautiful golden glow and giving a toothy grin as she sings of finding her freedom.

About the video, Jessica said, "This video is all about letting go — letting go of all of the things that weigh you down and allowing yourself to be free. We are so entangled with 'tangibles' in our lives —technology, careers, relationships. And I wanted to visually show ALL of the beauty that we can miss if you never take the time to let go.”
