Fear. Vulnerability. Hope. All a part of the landscape of love, and all flawlessly captured on Ohio-born, Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Tangina Stone’s latest single, “Ride Off.” Since releasing her debut EP The Fall, she’s been lighting up stages across the nation, and her single "Suntan (Remix)" was featured on VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Hollywood. On “Ride Off,” her vocals serve the skepticism that comes in the early stages of courtship and captures the fierce dedication that comes once we let our guard down. The track features Harlem-based rapper, producer and engineer Crystal Caines who completes the portrait by lyrically showcasing the point where head and heart surrender, earnestly spitting, “Love gets hard, but I’d rather just trust this / And, baby, I’m just tryna do us justice.”

In anticipation of the release of her new EP Elevate, Ms. Stone recently launched a promotion campaign with PledgeMusic. Those who pledge toward the pre-order of the EP (due out in October) or purchase one of her “exclusive experiences” in Brooklyn (i.e., a private concert at your home, a recording/writing session or vintage shopping), will gain access to updates, unreleased tracks and other great content. If this track is any sign of things to come, we’re definitely riding with Tangina Stone for the long haul.
