Fresh from the release of his brand new, self-titled album, Eric Benét spent his release weekend on stage in the DMV on the What I'm Feelin' Tour. On Saturday, October 8th, he was the opener for a night of superb soul music supplied by himself, Lalah Hathaway and Anthony Hamilton at Washington, D.C.'s DAR Constitution Hall. The highly anticipated tour didn't disappoint, with Benét laying the foundation with a smooth and sexy set of songs covering the course of his 20+ year career. His stripped down show -- it was just him, background singer Jessica Jolia and keyboard player/musical directorJonathan Richmond -- didn't take away from the phenomenal performance that he put on. Eric Benét flexed his incredible voice on his hits "Chocolate Legs," "Georgy Porgy" and "Love Of My Own" before bringing his brief but banging set to an end with current hit single "Sunshine" that had everyone in attendance at Constitution Hall basking in his afterglow long after he left the stage.
