Can you believe that this past Sunday marked the first anniversary GoldLink's And After That We Didn't Talk? We guess time flies when you've got good music to listen to. Rather than let the moment pass without acknowledgement, the DMV native decided to drop a special treat for his fans with "See I Miss Pt. 2," a revamped version of the jazzy ode to his ex that appeared on AATWDT, with the addition of angelic vocals courtesy of Marsha Ambrosius.

GoldLink doesn't change much of the song's original structure for his revisit. The Rhodes keys still wash over the listener like waves as the bass line chugs along, keeping time with the simple drums. Even Anderson .Paak's raspy ad-libs still remain. However, the rapper/singer's second verse is replaced with a retort from Ambrosius. She plays the role of his ex, chiding him for the way he's responding to the situation. "There's a better way to say that / A love like this you miss," she sings before making a list of the ways that she was down and what she put up with. She rides the beat quite nicely, even taking some time to harmonize on the final chorus as the song rides out.

We've already gotten a remix LP for AATWDT as well as new singles "Fall In Love" and "Rough Soul." Could we be getting a new GoldLink project in the near future? While that remains to be seen, you can check out "See I Miss Pt. 2" right here.
