Kelis has been tearing it up in the kitchen with her sauce line Bounty & Full. Now she's bringing her culinary magic to the masses through Taste Talks Los Angeles. If you're a chef, cook or foodie, you've already heard of Taste Talks, a national festival series and forward-thinking editorial platform charting the future of taste. After hanging out in Brooklyn and Chicago, it will be Taste Talk's first time in LA. Since they're venturing to the West Coast, it was only right to enlist crooner-turned-cook Kelis as the festival's curator.
Kelis will bring together her favorite food, beverages and music experts at the food and drink festival from November 4th-6th and host the opening night party, which features a smorgasbord of a couple of her favorite things: arepas and agave. Guests will enjoy bites of her remixes of the classic Colombian street food snack. The festival will also feature LA's best chefs and influencers, an all-star BBQ, brunch, parties, talks, demos and tastings. "I can’t wait to showcase what makes this city unique," Kelis said on the Taste Talks website.
Kelis graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in 2008, and, as a certified chef, the songstress has hosted several cooking specials on the Cooking Channel, released her culinary-inspired album FOOD back in 2014 and has been building her Bounty & Full brand.
