New York-based duo Lion Babe has made quite the splash this year. They kicked off 2016 with their aptly titled debut album Begin and continued to rock our socks off with singles, visuals, ad campaigns and even a full-out mixtape to celebrate the sunny days of this past summer. But if you thought that LB was just about done, you were mistaken, as the duo recently released a video for Begin's body positive track "Got Body."
The song, which finds singer Jillian Hervey singing about embracing one's natural curves over a beat driven by looped piano and hip-hop drums courtesy of her partner Astro Raw, is a confident soundtrack for the modern woman. For the song's clip, the duo got a few friends together to roam the streets of New York and celebrate their charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. While Jillian vamps it up for the camera in casual looks that the model-esque beauty pulls off very well, we see a bit of Astro's creative process as he makes beats on an MPC and we meet their rag-tag crew. Ultimately, we get probably our best sense of who Lion Babe is when they're not tearing down the stage or thrilling us from our TV screens.
