Kevin Ross first came into the mainstream via his song "This Is My Wish," which was included in the 2014 holiday campaign for air freshener company Glade, after making waves earlier that year with the release of his debut EP, Dialogue in the Grey.
Fast forward to 2016, and Ross dropped his follow-up EP, Long Song Away, featuring the single of the same name, which is currently the No. 1 most added song on Urban Adult Contemporary radio. To build on that momentum, he's released a music video for "Long Song Away." In the video, the Washington, D.C. native appears with a love interest who expresses that Ross does not make enough time for her before she storms out of their apartment. The clip, reminiscent of early ‘00s videos like Carl Thomas' "I Wish" and Glenn Lewis' "Don’t You Forget It," shows the crooner reminiscing on the better times throughout his relationship with his lady. By the end of the “long song,” Kevin’s girlfriend returns to reconcile with him for a rooftop rendezvous to continue their journey to forever. The video definitely compliments the song and can help set the mood to soundtrack your Valentine’s Day activities.
For opportunities to see Ross perform this song amongst others live, be sure to catch him as the opening act on the XIX Tour with Ro James. Kevin's run with Ro begins on March 2nd in Washington, D.C.
