Sia had a great 2016, and this year she's resolved to "Never Give Up" in her latest single. The track is taken from the soundtrack to the feature film Lion, a movie that was released in November based on Saroo Brierley's memoir, A Long Way Home. "Never Give Up" features Sia's signature vocals and an empowering message To give even more insight into the track's message, there's now a lyric video to accompany the song.
Following two children in black masks and two-tone, blonde-and-black wigs, the lyric video is set in an abandoned train yard. Similar to the premise of the video, involving being lost and then found, the two children look for each other during the first half of the video as the lyrics appear painted on the train cars and tracks. They later reunite and follow the tracks out of the station and into the night. The visuals, paired with Sia's powerful vocals will raise your blood pressure as you wonder what fate awaits the children, but it will also inspire you when you see them make it to the end.
With several GRAMMY noms under her belt, it's pretty clear Sia is never giving up herself. Last year, the Australian singer released her album This Is Acting. She's also no stranger to soundtracks, she contributed her track "Angel by the Wings" to The Eagle Huntress soundtrack and reworked "Satisfied" for the The Hamilton Mixtape. Because of her unlimited talent, we likely won't give up on Sia anytime soon.
