Kandi Burruss & Tiny Get Writing Credits For Ed Sheeran's 'Shape Of You'
If you found yourself humming along to Ed Sheeran's recent hit "Shape of You" and thinking it sounded kinda familiar, you weren't wrong. The hit song's pre-chorus bore more than a passing resemblance to the melody from TLC's 1999 hit "No Scrubs," so much so that the singer-songwriter has added "No Scrubs" writers Kandi Burruss, Tameka "Tiny" Harris and Kevin "She'kspere" Briggs as co-writers of the song. Kandi and Tiny were both gracious about the situation, thanking Ed for including them as co-writers and allowing them to celebrate in the song's success. With their names attached to the No. 1 single, it gives Tiny her second Hot 100 No. 1 as a songwriter while securing Kandi her third No. 1 songwriting spot (as she also wrote "Bills, Bills, Bills" with She'kspere). #CreditWhereCreditsDue
