Year after year, the AFROPUNK Brooklyn lineup somehow manages to surpass previous editions and the 2017 festival is no different. The two-day event just unveiled this year's lineup and it definitely promises to be one for the books with performances by the legendary Soul II Soul, Willow Smith, Gary Clark Jr., Macy Gray and Dizzee Rascal for starters.
Returning to its Brooklyn home at Commodore Battery Park the weekend of August 26th & 27th, the 12th annual festival will feature two curated stages chockful of some of the best and brightest music has to offer. The Saint Heron stage will feature performances by Sampha, Thundercat, Sinkane, Little Simz, Serpentwithfeet, Princess Nokia and more. Meanwhile, over on the Kaytranada-curated stage, attendees will be treated to the sounds of Karriem Riggins, Michael Kiwanuka, NAO, The Cool Kids, Protoje, Sango, Kevin Abstract and more. In addition to such great musical talent, festivalgoers will also have the opportunity to support the more than 100 unique vendors who will have their wares on display. AFROPUNK Brooklyn 2017 will continue to provide fans the opportunity to volunteer their time in exchange for admission to the festival as part of its AFROPUNK ARMY.
