Adrian Marcel dropped his debut album GMFU (shorthand for Got Me F**ked Up) last month, and in case it got lost in the shuffle, he's here to remind everyone that he's outchea with a new music video. The clip is for the Shonuff-produced cut "LUVJONES" from GMFU, and it's directed by Jerrell Lamar who captures Marcel around his hometown of Oakland. The location isn't the only familiar thing to Adrian. He is joined by his longtime girlfriend who is a natural in the role of his on-screen bae.
In "LUVJONES" we see scenes of the real-life couple spending the day together and simply enjoying being in each other's presence. There are no fancy outfits, luxury cars or $200 dates here. These two keep it casual as they talk and walk down the street hand in hand or hugged up to the local Waffle House. Scenes of Adrian alone in a dark warehouse are sprinkled in as he sings about this being, "Just another love story from the block." Marcel and his lady make a cute couple, and it's sweet to see him make it music video official.
With the "LUVJONES" visual, Adrian Marcel is just warming up as he continues to promote GMFU. Expect more singles and music videos from the 16-track album executive produced by Raphael Saadiq. Give GMFU a spin on Spotify, and add it to your collections with a purchase from Amazon, iTunes or Google Play.
