Ne-Yo, RaVaughn & Candice Boyd Bring The Drama In 'More Than I Should' Audio Soap Opera

Ne-Yo apparently loves soap operas, and he's sharing one of his own on his new song "More Than I Should." With the help of singers RaVaughn and Candice Boyd, Ne-Yo takes a page from R. Kelly's book to present an "audio soap opera" with his latest. The melodic five-minute drama starts with Ne-Yo singing, "It was all good just a week ago," and you know things are about to go hella bad as the story unfolds.

The single takes a few twists and turns as we learn about the love triangle. The trio sounds all mixed up in their feelings, as they all sing, "You got me liking you way more than I should, I know that this won't be good," in the chorus. Be sure to listen until the end for the full story. On his SoundCloud page, Ne-Yo explains why the track is special saying, "The only thing that matters even more than the music is the story you tell." "More Than I Should" is nothing new in terms of Ne-Yo's style, but it works well with two female voices that add more layers to the producer's clean-cut R&B.

Earlier this month, Ne-Yo delivered his take on Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE.," which we wanted to promptly return to sender. Luckily the smooth crooner redeemed himself with "Earn Your Love" released just last week. Ahead of his upcoming album, he's keeping the loosies coming and we're here to listen. Until we get more information about the new project, grab your tea and listen to all the drama in "More Than I Should" right here.
