Nick Hakim Gets Trippy In His 'Roller Skates'

Three years ago, Nick Hakim made his audio debut with an impressive EP titled Where Will We Go Pt. 1 . Now that he's ready for a more formal introduction, anticipation is high for his full-length project Green Twins. So far, we've been blown away by the title track and intrigued by the visuals for "Bet She Looks Like You." But his third album tease, "Roller Skates," might just be the one that stands out the most.

At first glance, it seems director Micah Buzan's only intention is to screw with our minds through an animated acid trip that features psychedelic hues, swirling patterns, eyeballs and mutated animals. It sounds weird, but honestly, you won't be able to look away. Eventually, the cartoon clip centers its focus on a roller rink where various storylines play out as Nick's vocals keep us spellbound. With a steady mix of bass, percussion and electric guitar, you might just be inspired to hit your local roller rink (or at least get out of your seat and dance).

Zone out with the trippy visuals, then enjoy Nick Hakim's live performances of "Green Twins" and "Bet She Looks Like You" for his ATO Sessions right here. Green Twins is scheduled for release on May 19th via ATO Records, but for those who can't wait, pre-orders will receive instant downloads of the three tracks below. Hakim has a handful of tour dates remaining in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., so be sure to check his website for details and info on how to connect with the artist.
