YahZarah presented her critically acclaimed "Purple Reign" Prince Tribute to a rapt audience in the DMV to celebrate Prince's 59th birthday. The petite songstress commanded the stage in an eye-popping costume made of pearls and fringes, but it was her vocal performance that made everyone at the Publick Playhouse in Cheverly, Maryland really take notice.
YahZarah sang a wide range of selections from Prince's catalog of classics. She brought her unique spin and vocal prowess to "Let's Go Crazy," "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore" and a show-stopping rendition of "Darling Nikki." In addition to sharing her interpretations of Prince's most beloved songs, YahZarah shared some of her original material as well. She treated the audience to her new single "Running," which will be featured on the upcoming debut season of Spike Lee's She's Gotta Have It on Netflix, and fan favorite "Starship," which she seamlessly blended into "Purple Rain" to end her Prince tribute on a purple high note.
