August Alsina Reveals Battle With Liver Disease In Discussion With Jada Pinkett Smith
Though his time in the spotlight has been relatively short, NOLA singer August Alsina has had to deal with a fair share of health problems since becoming a rising star. Now, the "Kissin' On My Tattoos" singer has revealed that he's battling liver disease during an interview with actress Jada Pinkett Smith. “I have a liver disease, where my autoimmune system is fighting against itself,” he told Jada. “The reality is that I’m sick all the time. I don’t really like to talk about it because I’m not looking for anybody’s sympathy. Don’t treat me like I’m a f**kin’ cancer patient ’cause I’m not.” Despite his health issues, August continues to be a fighter. Taking to Instagram, the singer captioned a clip of the interview, writing, “I’m sicker than ever & having a hard time accepting what I feel & what the Doctors are saying is most true. After sitting down and talking with my fathers mother and sister.. They explained to me that sickness & illness runs in my family.
