LL Cool J To Become First Rapper To Receive Kennedy Center Honor
Hip-hop has come a long way in its short history as a musical genre and one of its pioneers, LL Cool J, is pushing it even further with his latest accolade. The "Mama Said Knock You Out" rapper has been announced as one of the recipients of the esteemed Kennedy Center Honors award. This marks the first time that a rapper has ever received the honor, proving that hip-hop is worthy of major recognition. But not only does this mark a first for hip-hop, it also makes history as LL ties legend Stevie Wonder as the youngest ever recipient of the award.
