OVO Sounds very own dvsn has been teasing at a new project for some time with singles "Don't Choose" and "Think About Me," and now we finally have word that duo's sophomore effort Morning After will arrive next month. In addition to that recent news, they've also blessed us with yet another new single in the form of their seductive and sexy track "Mood." The late-night R&B-flavored track is definitely in the group's wheelhouse and has us ready to hear more.
The duo, which consists of producer Nineteen85 and vocalist Daniel Daley, each shines in their roles on the song, which is designed to set the mood for you next GTD session. Nineteen85 lays down a slinky, silky track that utilizes piano, synths, guitar and just enough hint of drums to suggest a sensual rhythm. It's the perfect groove for Daniel to slide in with his falsetto and get us wide open, singing, "You don't wanna fall back / I don't want to fall back tonight / I just want my old baby / You just want to know it's alright / For you to take it all off /For me to take care of you." It's a tempting invitation and one anyone would gladly accept, especially with Daniel's voice sound right as he channels his inner Maxwell. However, the deal is definitely sealed with the chorus, which tells every woman exactly what they want to hear: "Now I'm gonna make a time to make love / I'm gonna make a point to just focus on us / Now I'm gonna make sure you get enough / When I make it all about you, take care of us."
We don't know about you guys, but dvsn has us hot and bothered for Morning After. Luckily we won't have to wait long, as the set is scheduled to arrive on October 13. Until then, get into their "Mood" below.
