Tank just released his latest album SAVAGE, making the new addition his eighth studio album. The 11-track project keeps the crooner as a staple on many a bedroom playlist. With his signature runs and racy subject matter, we can always count on Tank to bring the romantic, sexy and sultry out of anyone who chooses to join his army, reminding us that he is in fact "The R&B General." With two decades of industry experience under his belt, he knows exactly what works for him and his fans.

After being a part of trio TGT with Ginuwine and Tyrese for a few years, Tank returned to focus on his solo efforts. With or without the group, Tank hasn't missed a step. Always moving forward, the crooner has a knack for creating a contemporary sound older R&B acts often force to stay relevant. The founder of R&B Money (his label venture with Sony Music), he consistently experiments, mixing old and new to keep his fans on their toes when he releases new projects.

After releasing his lead single "When We" this summer, we understood the direction of the new project but we wanted to hear it directly from Tank. The crooner is now on his SAVAGE Tour, where he's performing his new tracks and giving new artists a chance to shine on his stage. While his schedule is jam-packed with touring, promoting the new album and being a family man, he took some time out to talk with SoulBounce about SAVAGE and his contribution to R&B.
