Janet Jackson Receives Icon Award At OUT100 Gala
The iconic Janet Jackson might be in the midst of her successful State Of The World Tour, but that doesn't mean she can't find time to do other things. She proved just that on Thursday night in NYC when she stepped onto the scene draped in jet black fur, lace and leather to accept the OUT100 Music Icon Award at the 2017 OUT100 Gala. The singer, who has been a longtime outspoken advocate for the LGBT community, delivered a moving message to the crowd, saying, “Differences are beautiful, diversity is a gift. We’re all different, we’re all the same, we’re all vulnerable. We’re all in need of acceptance and encouragement. All love spreads from the same source: gentleness, kindness, grace and God.” She also told the audience, “We insist that love is for everyone and that we will love according to the demands of our hearts.” Isn't she great, folks? #JanetTheIcon
