The Hamiltones Get Festive With 'A Hamiltone Christmas'

Most people know The Hamiltones as Anthony Hamilton's background singers (and comic relief). But around here, J. Vito, Tony Lelo and 2E are also considered family – especially after creating our theme song "Ain't Nothin' But a SoulBounce." So when these talented gentlemen drop new music, we won't ever hesitate to share it with our readers.

Around this time last year, The Hamiltones delivered the perfect stocking stuffer with an unexpected quintet of songs that included their holiday debut "Come On Christmas." Since then, they've been pretty busy touring with AHam, collaborating with faves like PJ Morton and BJ the Chicago Kid and earning a GRAMMY nomination for "What I'm Feeling." Now that the holidays are upon us, they've come back with another gift for their fans called A Hamiltone Christmas.

The three-track EP includes a reprise of their 2016 tune, now named "Come On, It's Christmas," along with an original tune and a Christmas standard. The fellas are giving us '80s Al Jarreau vibes with the romantic mid-tempo groove "Making Love on Christmas." To close out the set, they take us straight to church and deliver a rendition of "Silent Night" that would make The Mighty Clouds of Joy feel like proud papas. As always, the harmonies on each track are on point and soul-drenched.
