Missy Elliott To Be Honored At ESSENCE Black Women In Music Gala
Speaking of women getting well-deserved honors, Missy Elliott is set to get one of her own. ESSENCE has announced that they'll be honoring the Supa Dupa Fly rapper at their 2018 Black Women In Music celebration. “The artistry of Missy Elliott cuts across generations — underscored by her vast creative accomplishments and contributions to the culture,” Vanessa De Luca, ESSENCE's Editor-in-Chief, said about the pioneering Ms. Elliott. “So prolific is her work, she is an inspiration to women all over the world. Missy’s energetic presence is truly magnetic and we can’t wait to celebrate her as one of the artistic masterminds of our time.” The Black Women In Music celebration will take place on January 25th at NYC's Highline Ballroom. #WellDeserved
