John Legend To Play Jesus In Live Production of 'Jesus Christ Superstar'

It looks like our boy John Legend is further expanding his acting resume in 2018. It was announced that "All Of Me" singer, who's expecting baby No. 2 with wife Chrissy Teigen, will take on the role of Jesus in NBC's live musical Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert. While this won't be John's first foray into acting — he's had roles in films like La La Land and Soul Men and even starred on his series Underground — it is his first time acting in a live format. We'll see John strut his stuff as our Lord and Savior (and maybe secure that EGOT in the process) when the live musical airs on April 1 (no foolin') on NBC. #StayTuned
