SoulBounce Exclusive: Spend The Day In L.A. With XL Middleton & Zackey Force Funk In 'Paradise Of Pavement'

There are numerous artists keeping funk music alive, and among them is Pasadena, California-based artist/producer XL Middleton. He released his funk-drenched album Things Are Happening last October, and he's still busy promoting the collection. The latest thing to drop from the project is the music video for the single "Paradise Of Pavement" featuring Zackey Force Funk, which SoulBounce is happy to world premiere.

Describing the song as "the L.A. anthem I always wanted to create," XL Middleton's mission is brought to visual life by director Famous Lee. His camera follows XL and Zackey Force Funk around Los Angeles, but don't expect to see any Hollywood glitz and glam or frolicking on sandy beaches. Instead, we get an everyday slice of life clip showing the guys walking around town, chilling out and stopping to check out a few street vendors with a 99 Cents Only store in the background. Also in the mix are live performance scenes with XL and Zackey on stage joined by singer Moniquea. We appreciate hanging out with this crew and getting to experience their version of L.A. throughout the clip.

Get some more funk in your life by adding XL Middleton's Things Are Happening to your collection. The project is available on his MoFunk Records imprint on Bandcamp.
