Rhye Goes Global For 'Count To Five' & Drops Sophomore Album 'Blood'

Rhye is officially back! After wowing us with their captivating debut, Woman, five years ago, the group (which is mainly just frontman Mike Milosh) came back last year with a handful of singles — including "Please," "Summer Days" and "Count To Five." And as of this past Friday, their sophomore album Blood was just released to the masses. The set finds them revisiting their smooth take on R&B over 11 intimate tracks (standouts include "Phoenix," "Song For You" and "Taste") while continuing to sing about love, relationships and an appreciation of the female form.

Speaking of the group's love of all things woman, they also recently released the video for "Count To Five," though it's much different from the visuals we've come to know from them. They usually opt for poetic, moody clips that evoke the mood and feel of the song. This time around, however, they decided to take things global, featuring women dancing in six places across the world — Ghana, Tokyo, Berlin, Moscow, Joshua Tree and Los Angeles. Each location features a different dancer moving to the sumptuous groove. Bringing their own unique feel and flare, each lady instills her own unique vibe to her scene, showing not only how well they move but just how universal music and dance really can be.

2018 looks to be a really busy year for Rhye. On top of just dropping their album, they've also just kicked off a 35-date international tour that will take them through the summer. You can purchase tickets through the band's site and check out tour dates, along with the video for "Count To Five" and a Spotify stream of Blood, below.
