Tinashe & Future Give Us Some 'Faded Love'

It looks like Tinashe's Joyride is finally picking up some momentum. The oft-delayed project started showing signs of life when the Cali-based singer dropped off the Offset-featuring "No Drama" last month. Now, Tinashe is keeping her promise of releasing three singles ahead of the project with the next in line, the Future-assisted track "Faded Love."

Production duo Stargate lace our girl with a sparse, hypnotic sound bed to play with and she surely takes advantage of the track's intimate feel. "No, don't give me your name / No, I don't need your number saved in my phone / Just follow me, follow me, follow me / Follow me home," she sings breathlessly as she sets up a night that promises to be memorable. "Wanna take off my rings in my California King / Let me get you alone." The sexy feeling of the song even persists as Future joins on the second pre-chorus, his Auto-Tuned warble adding just enough contrast to Tinashe's vocal to keep things interesting. His verse, however, is more of the same from him as he talks white cups, bad foreign chicks and spending dough. Thankfully, he rides the beat pretty well and his verse is a short diversion that does little to disturb the groove of the track too much.

Now that we have "No Drama" and "Faded Love," we only have one more single to go. Hopefully, by then Tinashe will have also given us a release date for Joyride. Check out what Tinashe, Future and Stargate have cooked up with "Faded Love" below and stick around to watch the singer break the song's lyrics down with Genius.
