Darien Dean & Tiffany T'zelle Shut It Down With 'Last Song'

In today's musical climate of "here today, gone tomorrow," having 10 years in the industry is considered a milestone. Our boy Darien Dean is celebrating this Bounce-Worthy achievement in a major way with his Notes From The Journey trilogy. The first installment, Departures (which dropped last year), was an international success – giving us a groovy duet with Avery*Sunshine and keeping Darien busy with a touring schedule that took him all over the globe. Now prepping to release the second segment of his Journey series – Detours – he offers up another duet as our first listen.

"Last Song" is touted as "a steppers groove guaranteed to make you move!," and we're inclined to agree. Darien teams with Tiffany Wilson, better known as T'zelle, for a feel-good groove with a timeless sound. T'zelle's warm, rich tone is the perfect complement to Dean's silky smooth vocals. Adding to the song's soulfully classic style is an intro by legendary New York "Quiet Storm" DJ Lenny Green. The song's video is equally appealing. Director Azzie Scott transforms a local grocery into a club as Darien, T'zelle, their respective crews and the store employees turn the food aisles into a Soul Train line.

If this is the direction that Detours is headed, we're more than happy to come along for the ride. In the meantime, dance along to "Last Song" and download a copy via Bandcamp, iTunes or Amazon. Darien has some upcoming performances in Germany and the UK, so be sure to keep up with this SoulBounce fave on Twitter and Instagram.
