Trying to keep up with D∆WN is almost a full-time job within itself. It seems like every other day (if not every day), the singer/songwriter is dropping something new for her loyal fanbase. Well, today is no different as the "Bonfire" singer brings yet another new song our way, this time collaborating with producer Mumdance to bring about the pop ballad "Guardian Angel."
The collaboration between Mumdance and D∆WN finds both artists stretching out their creative wings, with the electronic producer working with live instruments for the first time ever to create the high-flying pop track and the singer tapping into her not-often-used pop sensibilities to make the track soar to the heavens. The string-laden song begins with a concerto-like intro before D∆WN's voice is heard. She sings of a protective love that will always be there. She demonstrates just how strong her love is on the chorus, singing, "If love doesn't want you / And no one can find you / I'll be your angel / To guide you safely / To carry you home / I'm your guardian angel." The sweet sentiment is especially felt as her voice floats and flutters with the softness of the strings at first, gradually building into a powerful storm of intense delivery by the chorus, giving us a dynamic performance that reflects the intensity of her love.
"Guardian Angel" is the first of a line-up of songs that D∆WN is releasing while she works on her new project, which she expects will arrive in 2019. While we can't wait to hear what she has in store, we're more than excited that there will be plenty more new music from the songstress between now and then. Check out "Guardian Angel" below and keep it locked here for more new D∆WN in the near future.
